Updated | By Newswatch
There's been a major deadly collision on the R34 in Vryheid, northern KZN.

It's understood a heavy duty truck struck a bus on its side in the early hours of Tuesday morning, resulting in 12 fatalities and dozens of injures.
KZN Transport officials say it's believed the bus was carrying passengers belonging to a political party.
Spokesperson Ndabezinhle Sibiya says the MEC Siboniso Duma will be interacting with the leader of the political party.
“As we move along the MEC will update the people of KZN and indicate how we move forward, But what is important to ensure the family of the victims are properly informed with the MEC indicating that a team from Road Safety is making their way to the area."
The road has been closed while officials conduct their investigation.
