70 children injured in KZN bus crash
Seventy children have been injured in a bus crash on the R603 in KwaZulu Natal.
ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring says when paramedics arrived on scene, the bus was lying skew on the side of the road.
“The occupants of the bus had already climbed out and where found walking around the scene. All the patients where children who sustained moderate injuries.”
Meiring says the exact cause of the accident was not yet known.
“Fortunately no serious injuries or fatalities were reported. The children were treated for their injuries and were transported to various hospitals in the area for further treatment. Local authorities were on scene for further investigations.”
