ACSA: Delays at OR Tambo 'isolated incident'
Updated | By Mmangaliso Khumalo
Passengers at OR Tambo International Airport faced significant delays on Tuesday due to what the Airports Company South Africa (ACSA) described as operational disruptions at airport security checkpoints.

It warned travellers of longer-than-usual queues.
ACSA confirmed that the disruptions were confined to OR Tambo and that other airports in its network remained unaffected.
In a statement on Tuesday evening, the company said airport management and technical teams had worked throughout the day to resolve the issue.
"We are pleased to report a steady improvement in passenger flow and queue management," ACSA said.
"Domestic operations have largely stabilised, and an incoming shift has been deployed to assist international travellers."
ACSA said it expects full operational capacity to be restored by Wednesday morning, but has urged all passengers to continue arriving two hours before domestic flights and three hours before international departures.
The airport authority also reassured travellers that this was an isolated incident, and not part of any broader network-wide failure.
