ActionSA lays corruption charges against Joburg MMC

ActionSA laid corruption charges against Johannesburg MMC for Economic Development Nomoya Mnisi on Tuesday.

Mnisi is accused of ordering the former acting chief financial officer of the Johannesburg Property Company (JPC), Sipho Mzobe, to make a payment to the ANC Youth League.
"It is being alleged that MMC Nomoya Mnisi was directed to settle an invoice for an amount close to a million to the ANC Youth League in Johannesburg. ActionSA commends the former CFO who bluntly refused to abide by this irregular request,” said ActionSA’s Khomo Mashala.
Mzobe recently returned to the beleaguered entity, along with the JPC’s suspended CEO Helen Botes, who is accused of multimillion-rand corruption.
