The ANC in Limpopo has announced that four of its municipalities in the province will have new mayors by next week.

The municipalities with new mayors include, Sekhukhune, Vhembe, and the Collins Chabane and Makhado local municipalities.
Mayoral candidates are Minah Bahula for Sekhukhune, Freddah Nkondo for Vhembe, Dorcus Mboyi for Makhado and Shadrack Maluleke for Collins Chabane.
ANC provincial secretary Reuben Madadze said the new mayors will take office once the interim mayors hand in their resignation letters.
He made the announcement at Frans Mohlala House in Polokwane, where he gave feedback on Monday's provincial executive committee (PEC) meeting.
"The PEC meeting received a report on the long outstanding matter of the mayorships of Vhembe District Municipality as well as Makhado, which had been outstanding since the last local government elections of 2021.
"We also received a report on the finalization of the mayorships of Sekhukhune District Municipality as well as Collins Chabane following the resignation of the executive mayor of Sekhukhune as well as the unfortunate passing of the Mayor of Collins Chabane," he said.
Madadze also sent condolences to the families of three ANC members who died in a car crash on Sunday.
He also wished a speedy recovery to seven others who sustained injuries.
"They were traveling in a taxi carrying ANC members returning to their respective homes from the 2019 Manifesto Review in Malebitsa, Sekhukhune Region on Sunday."
