ANC MP dies in accident
An African National Congress (ANC) MP has died in a tragic
accident near Paarl on Wednesday morning.
Parliament has confirmed the death.
Parliamentary spokesperson Moloto Mothapo says four MPs of the basic education portfolio committee were on their way to conduct oversight visits when they were involved in an accident.
The ANC has confirmed the death of one of its MPs in the accident.
Three MPs were seriously injured.
“One of our ANC MPs tragically lost their life while three other MPs - Nomalungelo Gina of the ANC, Ian Ollis of the DA and Cynthia Majeke of the UDM sustained injuries.”
