Another minor arrested for Themane murder
The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) has confirmed that another minor has been arrested in connection with the brutal murder of Thoriso Themane in Polokwane.
Six minors appeared in the Polokwane Magistrates Court on Thursday.
Spokesperson for the NPA in Limpopo Mashudu Malabi-Dzhangi says the case has been postponed to March 22.
"The case has been postponed to add the other accused to the case.”
This brings the total number of minor accused to seven.
Meanwhile, one of the minors has been linked to another case of assault.
"The minor appeared on charges that were brought before the court in December 2018. This particular minor is set to appear in court on March 20.
Themane’s death made headlines after a video of his killing went viral.
The video showed Themane being dragged by a group of teenagers after being assaulted at Flora Park in Polokwane.
