Blackouts hit parts of Tshwane
Many areas in and around Tshwane are without electricity following a major power outage on Tuesday.
According to the City of Tshwane, the outage follows a trip to an Eskom substation in Emalahleni.
Spokesperson Lindela Mashigo said the blackouts have impacted operations at the Bronkhorstspruit Water Treatment Plant as it uses electricity to pump water.
“We will provide residents with information as well as restoration times as and when Eskom gives an update on repairs”, said Mashigo.
The following areas are affected:
• Ekangala
• Rethabiseng
• Zithobeni
• Bronkhorstspruit
• Bronkhorstsbaai
