Body of 8-year-old found near Bronkhorstspruit
Updated | By Marius van der Walt
The body of an 8-year-old grade 2 learner from Sikhulisile Primary School near Bronkhorstspruit has been found in bushes near the school.

The boy's body was found on Thursday.
The Gauteng Department of Education's Steve Mabona says the learner was found facing down and wearing his school socks.
"The learner could not be identified due to the extensive injuries on his face. The school immediately called a parent’s meeting to establish the family of the missing child," Mabona says.
"One parent said the deceased learner was her child because of the clothing and the brief. However, the family will only be able to identify the deceased learner at the Bronkhorstspruit mortuary today (Friday)."
The department says it is providing counselling to the community.
