Bogus doctor nabbed at Tembisa Hospital
The Gauteng Department of Health has confirmed the arrest of a woman who was posing as a doctor at Tembisa Hospital.
The bogus doctor was caught on Tuesday night and has been remanded in police custody.
Last year, another fake doctor Matthew Lani aka 'Tik Tok doctor' was arrested at the Helen Joseph hospital after bypassing the security.
Department spokesperson Motalatale Modiba they are investigating as to how did the woman gain entrance to the facility.
"The matter is under investigation by both the facility management and the police to establish circumstances under which the bogus doctor gained access to the hospital.
"The department is continuously strengthening measures at facilities to safeguard the wellbeing of patients and staff.
"Our employees and the public are urged to be vigilant against imposters who seek to undermine the work of healthcare professionals,"
