BREAKING NEWS: Five of seven escaped prisoners re-arrested
Updated | By Olivia Phalaetsile

Four of the prisoners, Zandile Elvis Nkhabu, Teko Mphuthi, Kwazi Nkosi Ndlovu and Tfhediso Benjamin Mokoena were arrested on Friday and one was arrested on Thursday.
Correctional Services spokesperson Logan Maistry says this is the result of around the clock work by law enforcement officials.
“We want to praise these officials, from DCS, the South African Police Service and all other enforcement agencies, who went beyond the call of duty to ensure the speedy arrest of these five inmates,” he says.
Two of the prisoners, Phillip Tivane and Petros Kgatliso Mabela are still on the run.
Maistry says they are appealing to members of the public not to approach these inmates, as they will not hesitate to cause harm, but to contact the nearest police station.
