Brian Molefe's Eskom payout back in the spotlight
Updated | By Nathan Daniels
Former Eskom CEO's Brian Molefe pension payout will be back in the spotlight in the High Court in Pretoria on Wednesday.

Trade union Solidarity, the DA and EFF wants Molefe to pay back the R30 million given to him by the power utility.
They want the payout given to Molefe to be declared unlawful and set aside.
Solidarity's Anton van der Bijl says Molefe was never entitled to the payout as he was never a permanent employee at Eskom.

"Molefe was a temporary employee he was not an eligible member of the fund. We see more and more that state money is used for private gain. We believe that this must end. The tax payer can't keep on making individuals rich."
Van der Bijl says around R10.3 million was paid to Molefe and R30.1 million by Eskom to the pension fund.
"We want him to pay back the money. The payment was made unlawfully. This money belongs to the taxpayer."
