Bus plummets off Tongaat bridge, three killed
Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
A bus carrying passengers has plunged off the Tongaat River Bridge, crashing several metres below the structure.

At least three people lost their lives when the vehicle veered off the R102 on Tuesday morning. A massive emergency response is underway
IPSS Medical Rescue's Kelsey-Jae Meyrick says the bus was fully laden.
"IPSS Medical Rescue alongside IPSS Search and Rescue and other emergency services are on scene. Reports from the scene so far indicate that at least three people are deceased and 12 have sustained serious injuries. The scene is still active and we urge motorists to use alternative routes as the R102 in the area is closed."
In a separate incident, two cars have collided head-on, on the M4 near the Virginia off-ramp.
ALS Paramedic Garrith Jamieson says one of the vehicles crossed over the centre medium, colliding head-on with a secondary vehicle.
"Multiple patients have sustained critical injuries. The M4 in both directions is severely backed up."
