Cape Town tightens water restrictions
Updated | By JacarandaFM News
Cape Town mayor Patricia De Lille says preparations for "Day Zero" is underway as it is inevitable that the city will soon run out of water.

Describing the City's plans as "advanced", De Lille said they'll release the locations of the 200 proposed water collection points next week.
"Day Zero" is currently forecast for 21 April.
De Lille says more than half of the city's residents do not want to save water.

"We have reached a point of no return. 60% of Capetonians won't save water. We must now force them."
The City has announced it will be implementing level 6B water restrictions from the 1st of February.
A resident will be able to use only 50 liters per day for the next 150 days.
"Teams are working around the clock to deliver the emergency plans. But this alone will not be enough to avoid day zero without savings from Capetonians."
