Two men and two women arrested on charges of dealing with scheduled substances appeared before the Pretoria Magistrates Court following their arrest on Tuesday.

It’s alleged the group – aged between 54 and 28 – ran an online syndicate where they sold steroids, fat-burners, and other scheduled drugs.
Norman Brits, Henry Crail, Mona-Lize Grobler, and Cailin De Bruin are expected back in court next Thursday after their matter was postponed for bail information.
“A police investigation, supported by forensic laboratory analysis, revealed that the products contained prohibited substances. Brits, Crail, and Grobler were arrested on 11 February 2025 at their residences in and around Pretoria. De Bruin was arrested a day later, on 12 February 2025,” said National Prosecuting Authority spokesperson Lumka Mahanjana.

It is alleged that from 2021, the accused persons operated as a syndicate, running an online platform to trade and distribute scheduled substances and medicines.
At the time of the arrests, Gauteng police spokesperson Amanda van Wyk said one of the products sold online was a "fat burner" that contains Dimethylphenethylamine, an isomer of methamphetamine (commonly known as crystal meth or Tik).
