Case against murder-accused WSU residence manager postponed

The case against the Walter Sisulu University residence manager, Manelisi Mampana has been postponed to next Tuesday.

Mampane's bail hearing was postponed due to a power failure at the Mthatha Magistrate's Court.
The 54-year-old was due to apply for bail on Friday.
He is accused of killing Sisonke Mbolekwa during a student protest last month.

The 24-year-old campus activist was part of a group of students protesting over poor and unsafe living conditions for students, which turned violent.
Mampane is facing charges of murder, attempted murder, and possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition.
The suspect remains in custody.
