Six members of the Ikageng community in the North West are expected to apply for bail at their next court appearance.

The group appeared in the Potchefstroom Magistrate’s Court on Monday in connection with a recent community protest.
Public Order Police and the tactical response unit members were deployed to the area amid a violent protest by residents complaining about poor service delivery.
Parts of the N12 between Potchefstroom and Matlosana and the N14 between Ventersdorp and Coligny were affected.
"All accused were arrested at an informal settlement near Extension 11, Ikageng township, while looting goods from a shop,” said North West police spokesperson Sabata Mokgwabone.
The accused will be back in court on 6 September, when they are expected to apply for bail.
Three of the accused are minors and were released into the care of their parents.
Calm has since been restored to the area after residents called off the shutdown.
