Change in legal representation sees lengthy postponement in Meyiwa trial
Updated | By Sibahle Motha
Two of the five accused in the Senzo Meyiwa murder trial have decided to drop their legal representative, TT Thobane.

Accused number one Muzi Sibiya and accused number two Bongani Ntanzi did not provide any reasons for their decision to turn to Advocate Sipho Ramosepele.
The move caught Thobane off guard.

“Indeed, this is correct that I need to consult with accused 3 and four because there was no communication from the new legal rep on record towards us. We only found out today, this morning in court,” he told the court.
Thobane had previously represented Ntanzi in his bail application bid in September.
However, he has told the court that he will no longer be representing him.

The trial has been postponed to May 2023 to allow the new legal representative time to study the case.
