Christopher Panayiotou's father shot and killed
Convicted killer Christopher Panayiotou's father Costa was shot and killed in Uitenhage in the Eastern Cape in the early hours of Monday morning.
Uitenhage police spokesperson Majola Nkohli has confirmed the shooting and says it happened shortly before 1 am.
The motive for the shooting was unknown.
Costa Panayiotou was 67 years old and was shot outside the Bambi Snack Bar which he owns in Market Street in Uitenhage.
Nkohli said Panayiotou's VW Polo was stolen but was later recovered in Motherwell.
Costa Panayiotou's son Christopher was sentenced to life imprisonment in November 2017 for orchestrating the abduction and murder of his wife Jayde.
