Speaking to the SABC on Wednesday morning, his uncle and family spokesperson, Mzwakhe Sigudla, set the record straight.
“He had some complications related to breathing, and paramedics were called to the scene. Unfortunately, he did not make it. There are no other things that we know, except for that. So, we wanted to clarify to the nation that it was natural causes.”
Meanwhile, details of the memorial and funeral services have been confirmed.
Family members and colleagues in the entertainment industry have gathered at the actor’s Pretoria home to pass their condolences.
“The funeral will take place next Saturday. There are two memorial services that the family has already confirmed. We’ll have a memorial service in Mahikeng on Tuesday, and another one will be held in Pretoria on Thursday,” Sigudla said.
