City Power addressing power outages in Roodepoort
City Power has been addressing yet another major power outage - on Tuesday morning in Roodepoort on the West Rand.
Spokesperson for the Johannesburg power entity, Isaac Mangena, says technicians were deployed to the affected areas in the early hours of the morning.
This after power was restored in the Randburg and surrounding areas before midnight on Monday.
Mangena says the fire at Olivedale substation contributed to the power cuts.
"We have not recovered from backlogs and the aftereffects loadshedding and have stationed teams in those areas area we call hotspots," says Mangena.
