Coalition to march for SABC man

"We will be marching to her office, this is her year to vacate," the Communication Workers' Union's Thami Mzileni told reporters in Johannesburg on Tuesday.
"She has successfully failed to execute the mandate of the office of the Public Protector."
The coalition was responding to the report on the SABC released by Madonsela's office.
Madonsela criticised acting chief operations officer Motsoeneng and the public broadcaster's board over his irregular appointment and salary progression.
Complaints against Motsoeneng were raised with Madonsela by former SABC staff , including former chief operations officer Charlotte Mampane and ex-SABC senior executive Phumelele Ntombela-Nzimande.
Motsoeneng was also investigated for fraudulently misrepresenting his qualifications to the SABC, including claiming he had passed matric when he applied for employment.
Madonsela said allegations that Motsoeneng committed fraud were substantiated.
She said it was worrying that Motsoeneng's file had disappeared at the SABC while he denied falsifying his qualifications.
Mzileni said the group rejected the report.
The report was supposed to be about the governance of the broadcaster but it ended up being about an individual, he said.
