Comair extends Kulula, British Airways flight suspension
Updated | By Karabo Tebele
Comair has extended the suspension of all Kulula and British Airways flights for another two weeks.

This follows President Cyril Ramaphosa's decision to extend the adjusted level 4 of the lockdown on Sunday.
Comair suspended flights at the beginning of this month when government banned leisure travel in and out of Gauteng.
"Following President Ramaphosa’s announcement that South Africa will remain on an adjusted level 4 lockdown for at least the next two weeks, Comair will extend the suspension of scheduled kulula.com and British Airways (operated by Comair) flights, until 31 August 2021," says CEO Glenn Orsmond.
Orsmond says the decision to extend the suspension of flights was not easy to take.
"This decision was not made lightly, as it has a significant impact on both our customers and our employees.
"However, under the circumstances, we believe it is the correct course of action to ensure the health and wellbeing of our customers and employees.
"We empathize with government’s unenviable position with regards to balancing the health of the nation and the suffering economy."
Customers holding long-haul British Airways-125 tickets on a cancelled British Airways connection during the suspension period will be provided with alternative flights.
