Concern mounts over schooling in Vuwani
Updated | By Slindelo Masikane
The Department of Basic Education (DBE) has expressed concern over the situation in Vuwani amid another shutdown in the Limpopo town.

The shutdown has meant that Grade 12 learners haven’t been able to attend school this week, disrupting preparations for the exams.
Schools are closed for the third consecutive day, while residents continue their demarcation protest.
The department’s Elijah Mhlanga warns this will have a negative impact on the future of the area’s children.
"This is the time where our learners are preparing for end of year examinations. This shutdown affects learners more than anyone else" Mhlanga said.
Mhlanga said the department is hopeful that a solution would be reached by the end of the week.
"Talks are taking place every day, formally and informally. We are optimistic."
