Court denies bail to murder accused Tiffany Meek
Updated | By Lauren Beukes
The woman accused of the murder of her 11-year-old son, Jayden-Lee, has been denied bail.

Judgment in Tiffany Meek's case was handed down in the Roodepoort Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday morning.
The State, which opposed bail, had argued that the Fleurhof resident's statements contained inconsistencies.
" The applicant failed to satisfy this court that she discharged the onus to prove on a balance of probabilities that the interest of justice permits the release from detention in terms of Section 60 (B) of the Act," ruled Magistrate Annelin Africa.
"Bail is accordingly refused for the applicant."
Tiffany Meek has been in custody since her arrest earlier this month on charges related to the murder of her son.
Jayden-Lee died from blunt force trauma to the head.
His body was found meters away from the flat he shared with his mother, in Fleurhof, west of Johannesburg.
