The High Court in Polokwane has granted bail to the man accused of assaulting a teenager in Groblersdal.

Fifty-year-old Corrie Pretorius approached the higher court to appeal an earlier decision of the Groblersdal Magistrate’s Court not to grant him bail.
The high court set aside the June ruling and set him free on bail of R20 000.
He was captured in a video assaulting a 16-year-old boy following an argument over the use of seasoning at a local fast food outlet
Pretorius also allegedly pointed a firearm at the teenager during the assault.
The case is expected to resume on Friday after his previous lawyer failed to attend court on Tuesday.
