Court hears Kelly Khumalo 'ordered hit on Meyiwa'
Updated | By Cliff Shiko
The lead investigator in the Senzo Meyiwa murder trial has implicated singer Kelly Khumalo in the soccer star's death.

Detective Bongani Gininda told the High Court in Pretoria on Wednesday that accused number one, Muzi Sibiya, told police that Meyiwa's then girfriend ordered the hit on the former Bafana Bafana captain.
Gininda's affidavit was read in a trial-within-a-trial on Wednesday.
Five men are on trial for the murder of former Bafana Bafana captain who was shot and killed in an apparent house robbery in Vosloorus in 2014.
"In this confession, he clearly implicates Kelly Khumalo as the person who gave them the instruction to kill Senzo Meyiwa," Ginanda said.
“The suspect made a confession to a commissioned officer on the 19th of June and later made a further confession in the presence of his attorney and to a magistrate in Boksburg Magistrate’s Court on the 24th of June.
"Through the confession it does appear that this suspect is the suspect that was described as tall and slender who came into the house,” added Gininda.
The trial continues.
