Court rescinds Inxeba porn rating
The High Court in Pretoria has overturned the X-rating slapped on the movie Inxeba: The Wound by the Film & Publication Board (FPB).
This means the award-winning film will be shown in cinemas again.
Inxeba has been in the meantime been declassified to 18 SNLVP.
The matter was postponed on Tuesday but the parties agreed that it will be heard as an urgent application on 28 March.
FPB classified the movie as 'hardcore porn' which meant that it could not be played at any cinema across the country.
The ruling follows a public outcry, with some dubbing it as blatant censorship.
The film will be screened again in cinemas from Friday.
