The ex-husband of Lesedi FM presenter Dimakatso Ratselane has been sentenced to 12 years in prison for attempted murder.

Mackenzie Ratselane appeared in the Bloemfontein Magistrates' Court on Wednesday.
The 41-year-old man was also convicted of possession of an unlicensed firearm and the illegal possession of ammunition.
Ratselane was arrested after the body of the SABC current affairs show host was found in February 2021.
She suffered multiple stab wounds following an argument with husband at her house in Bloemfontein.
"The victim sustained more than 15 stab wounds to various parts of her body. Ratselane was later arrested in Ennerdale, Gauteng, after being on the run for six days and has been in custody ever since," says Free State police spokesperson Mahlomola Kareli.
"Ratselane was sentenced to nine years in prison for attempted murder of which two years are suspended, three years for possession of an unlicensed firearm and two years in prison for possession of ammunition. Count 2 and 3 will run concurrently with count 1."
