Culpable homicide case opened after Overport mall crash
Updated | By Lauren Hendricks
Police are investigating the circumstances that led to an elderly man plunging to his death in his car at a Durban shopping centre.

The vehicle ploughed through the wall of one of the higher parking levels at the Atrium in Overport on Thursday.
It landed on its roof on the ground outside.
The driver, believed to have been in his 70s, was declared dead at the scene.
He was the only occupant.
KZN SAPS on Friday afternoon confirmed that Berea police have opened a case of culpable homicide.
Footage of the tragic incident soon emerged on social media, with the short clip showing a speeding car seconds before it crashes through the barrier.
It prompted the victim's family to ask that the video be taken down.
In a post on Facebook, the management of the Atrium said the footage was not the centre's, adding their primary concern is the family's well-being.
