De Lille appoints interim SA Tourism board
Updated | By Cliff Shiko
Tourism Minister Patricia de Lille has appointed an interim board of directors at SA Tourism following the dissolution of the previous board earlier this week.

The previous board of directors was removed amid claims that it had contravened its charter by holding a special board meeting not convened by the chairperson.
It also comes in the wake of the board's decision to suspend CEO Nombulelo Guliwe for misconduct last week.
The interim structure is led by Dr Mzamo Masito, and includes Kholeka Zama, Shakir Jeeva, Khomotso Brian Mosehla, Siobhan Leyden and the department's Deputy Director-General, Dr Shamilla Chettiar.
Their appointment is effective from Friday.
"The above members possess collective knowledge, experience and qualifications relating to the function of the South African Tourism board,” said De Lille’s spokesperson Aldrin Sampear.
"In due course, the minister will announce the process to appoint permanent members of the South African Tourism board.”
