Derek Watts remembered as remarkable human

Derek Watts' family and friends say he lived life to the fullest and touched many people.

The South African TV great and investigative journalist passed away last week after a battle with cancer.
A memorial service was held for him in Johannesburg on Thursday.
Watt's daughter, Kirsty, who's a cancer survivor, paid an emotional tribute to her father.
"Dad, I hope that you are watching this, so you can acknowledge what a remarkable human we all knew that you were. There are not enough words for me to express the gratitude I have for all that you did for me, for the eternal love that I have for you.
“There are so many things in life I still wanted to experience with you, and I know that nobody will ever be able to make me feel as special and loved as you did."
Friend Paul Kelly said he's also lost a mentor and a family member.
"He is irreplaceable. His loss will be felt deeply by all of us. I know that this loss is one that runs deep for many, but I also know that Derek wouldn't want us to sit around mourning his loss."
