Enlightend Christian Gathering Church Prophet Shepherd Bushiri and his wife, Mary Bushiri, are expected to apply for bail in the Pretoria Commercial Crimes Court today.

They were arrested by the Hawks in Rustenburg on Friday on charges of fraud and money laundering dating back to 2015.
Hundreds of members of the church and followers of Bushiri have gathered in front of the court building since early this morning, expressing their dismay with his arrest and demanding the couple be released.
