Drotské undergoes second successful surgery
The former Springbok and Free State Cheetahs rugby player, Naka Drotksé, has undergone a second operation after being shot during a home invasion at his brothers' house in Kameeldrift, Pretoria last week.
Drotské who won the Currie Cup as player, manager and coach, was shot in the arm, chest and abdomen during the incident. He underwent a five-hour procedure last night (monday) to remove pieces of bone to his shattered elbow.
Drotské' has been recovering well since the shooting and he will possibly be discharged from the Montana hospital as soon as Friday.
His good friend and former Springbok and Free State teammate, Os du Randt, was also involved in the incident. However, he was unharmed, although it is believed that shots were also fired at him.
The pair were a part of the Springbok team which won the Rugby World Cup in 1995.
Du Randt lifted the Webb Ellis Trophy for the second time in 2007.
Two suspects were taken in for questioning by police shortly after the shooting but were subsequently released.
