Updated | By Princess Mahogo
Rand Water says the maintenance work at the Eikenhof pump station remains on track to be completed by Friday morning.

The planned 58-hour water shutdown began on Tuesday.
Johannesburg Water has provided stationary and roaming tankers to critical areas and facilities, including hospitals, clinics, municipal offices, schools, and police stations.
“Teams have worked tirelessly throughout the night,” said Rand Water spokesperson Makenosi Maroo.
“Swartkoppies pumping station has started pumping to Yeoville and Marydale reservoirs. The work at Eikenhof pumping station is also progressing well, we are on schedule, and we will complete work by tomorrow (Friday).”
