Elton Jantjies arrested at OR Tambo - report

Springbok flyhalf Elton Jantjies has reportedly been arrested at OR Tambo International Airport.

The South African Police Service have confirmed the arrest of a 31-year-old man on charges of malicious damage to property.
Police have not been able to confirm the man’s identity as he is yet to appear in court, but said he was arrested during his arrival at the airport on Sunday morning.
“The suspect was on an international flight from Dubai to SA when he allegedly damaged property belonging to the airline,” said national police spokesperson Athlenda Mathe.
He is expected to appear in court on Monday.
Jantjies has played in more than 40 Tests for the Springboks and was part of the squad which won the Rugby World Cup in Japan in 2019.
