Emfuleni mayor joins march to Eskom
Updated | By Jacaranda FM News
Emfuleni Mayor Gift Moerane is set to join a community march to Eskom on Monday morning.

Mayoral spokesperson Lebo Mofokeng says the march will head to the Eskom head office at Megawatt Park in Sandton to deliver a memorandum of grievances.
"The purpose of the march is that the community was not informed about the disconnected that happened in their areas of Zone 12, 13 and Evaton included," Mofokeng.
She adds the mayor believes strongly that Eskom was supposed to communicate with councillors before disconnecting power in the areas.
Mofokeng says last year the power utility released a rollout plan of replacing transformers in Emfuleni.
However, she adds, areas affected by the power disconnections are not on the schedule.
