Eskom implements stage 6 load shedding
Updated | By Jacaranda FM News
Eskom announced on Sunday that stage 6 load-shedding had been implemented in the early hours of the morning.

The planned power cuts would be implemented until further notice due to multiple unit trips at its Camden power station in Mpumalanga.
"This measure followed the implementation of stage 3, necessitated by multiple unit trips at Majuba power station and a unit trip at Medupi that resulted in a loss of 3,864 MW in generation capacity, while planned maintenance accounted for 7,506 MW,” the power utility said.
"Additionally, to replenish emergency reserves and prepare for the week ahead, stage 6 load shedding was essential."
The Minister of Energy and Electricity, Kgosientsho Ramokgopa, and Eskom are expected to brief the media on Sunday.
