Eskom suspends daytime load shedding 'until further notice'
Eskom has announced the suspension of daytime load shedding from Thursday morning until further notice.
In a short statement on Wednesday night, the utility stated that the suspension comes as the emergency reserves have fully replenished.
This after the utility implemented stage 1 rolling blackouts on Wednesday night until 5am.
Eskom spokesperson Daphne Mokwena said load shedding will be suspended during the day until 4pm, when stage two will be implemented.
"Load shedding will be suspended until 16:00, when stage 2 load shedding resumes until 05:00 on Friday.
"This pattern of suspending load shedding from 05:00 until 16:00 and implementing stage 2 load shedding from 16:00 until 05:00, will be repeated daily until further notice."
