Fana Mokoena resigns as EFF MP
Updated | By Jacaranda FM News
Fana Mokoena’s departure from Parliament follows the resignation of another EFF MP, former public protector Busisiwe Mkhwebane, earlier in the week.

Parliament spokesperson Moloto Mothapo confirmed Mokoena’s resignation as MP on Thursday.
"We can confirm that the Speaker has received a resignation letter from Mr Mokoena."
The reasons for his departure remain unclear.
Fana Mokoena, who is best known as a television actor, was one of the first EFF members of Parliament back in 2014.
He resigned from Parliament in 2020 but made a comeback after the general elections in May.
The party has seen an exodus of prominent members, including Floyd Shibambu and Mzwanele Manyi, who have joined the Umkhonto Wesizwe Party.
It’s unclear if Mokoena has also resigned from the EFF.
