Five men were killed in a shootout with police in Durban on Saturday.

The men, who are believed to be part of a drug syndicate, were killed during a shootout with police.
“This is a drug war. They are fighting over the turfs,” said Police Minister Bheki Cele at the scene.
The late-night killings in Morningside followed the arrest of one suspected drug dealer.
Police were searching for suspects linked to the murders of three people including a child in March in Springfield.
A car matching the description of the vehicle used in the commission of the crime was inspected which subsequently identified a property in Morningside.
“Five firearms including three rifles and two pistols, money, and drugs worth an undisclosed amount of money have been seized by police,” Cele added.
The arrested suspect is likely to face charges of possession of drugs, illegal possession of firearms, and possession of a stolen car.
