The driver of a courier van was left injured after several shots were fired during an attempted hijacking at a business in the Sandton CBD on Thursday.

Security personnel at private bank Investec responded to the incident.
"This afternoon, a vigilant security officer at the Investec here in Sandton CBD foiled an attempted robbery after three gunmen tried to rob a courier vehicle at the driveway of Investec," says the police's Granville Meyer.
The driver was taken to a local hospital in a stable condition.
No arrests have been made.
"The driver of the courier vehicle was just slightly injured due to the window on the side that was smashed into," says Meyers.
Police are combing the scene for clues.
