Former Nelson Mandela Bay mayor Bobani dies
Former Nelson Mandela Bay mayor and United Democratic Movement (UDM) councillor Mongameli Bobani has died.
Bobani succumbed to Covid-19-related complications on Wednesday.
UDM leader Bantu Holomisa lauded the work done by Bobani, whom he says put the party on the map in the Nelson Mandela Bay area.

Bobani was removed as mayor through a motion of no confidence in December 2019 amid allegations of corruption and mismanagement.
