The accident took place on Greenhouse Road in Harris County
in Texas, when a car driven by the teenager crashed into two other cars.
Authorities in America say the young driver sped away after refusing to stop at a police roadblock.
Major Quincy Whitaker told the media the teenager – suspected to be 16 years old – was driving with two other people in the car when he tried to evade police.
The driver lost control of the speeding vehicle and crashed over the middle of the road and into oncoming traffic – where he hit the car driven by Wannenburg.
Whitaker says a total of seven people were rushed to hospital, including the suspect and his two passengers.

It’s not clear yet why the teenager sped away from police.
