Four children killed in Joburg fire
Updated | By Cliff Shiko
Johannesburg emergency services have confirmed the deaths of four children in a house fire in Mayfair.

The fire broke out on Monday morning.
Joburg EMS spokesperson Robert Mulaudzi said the children are believed to be under the age of two.
"While conducting a search and rescue operation, four bodies of young kids ranging from two years old and below were recovered. Unfortunately, they were confirmed dead.
"It appears they might have suffered smoke inhalation during this fire incident.
"The cause of the fire incident is believed to be a heating device which was in use before the fire started. Our fire investigation team is onsite conducting preliminary investigations," he added.
