Four in court for R2bn Groblersdal drug bust
Updated | By Cliff Shiko
The case against four suspects arrested in connection with a R2 billion drug bust in Limpopo has been postponed to 1 August.

The suspects were nabbed following a raid at a farm in Groblersdal over the weekend.
The suspects include two Mexican nationals, Gonzales Jorge (51) and Gutierrez Lopes (43), and 67-year-old farmer Frederick Botha and 35-year-old Simphiwe Khumalo.
The suspects appeared in the Groblersdal Magistrate's Court on Monday on charges of manufacturing, dealing and possession of illicit drugs.
“The Hawks in Limpopo received information about suspicious activities taking place at the farm, which was then operationalised, and the multi-disciplinary team pounced," said Hawks spokesperson Katlego Mogale.
"Four structures on the property were searched, and large quantities of chemicals used in the manufacturing of illicit drugs, including acetone as well as crystal meth with an estimated street value of R2 billion, were recovered.”
