Four people have been killed in a crash on the R40 in the vicinity of Hazyview in Mpumalanga.

The spokesperson for the province’s Department of Community Safety, Moeti Mmusi, said Monday morning’s head-on collision involved a light delivery vehicle and an SUV.
"Three of the deceased were in the SUV, while the driver of the LDV also died. It is not clear what caused the crash, but we suspect that one of the drivers could have been overtaking dangerously."
Mmusi added that the road has since been opened for traffic.
"The road was closed for a short while on the stop-and-go basis, but as the bodies were retrieved, the road had to be temporarily closed."
