Four mineworkers trapped underground in NW
Updated | By Jacaranda FM News
The National Union of Mineworkers (NUM) says rescue teams are working around the clock to bring the four trapped miners to the surface.

Four workers are trapped underground at the Tau Lekoa mine in Matlosana near Orkney.
A total of five miners were trapped following a seismic incident on Friday afternoon.
Rescue workers managed to retrieve one of the miners.
“Earlier yesterday the proto team was able to communicate with the four mineworkers who are still trapped underground, but later they were no longer responding,” says regional secretary Masibulele Naki.
He says rescue teams have estimated that it could take up to three to four days to rescue the miners as the shaft continues to cave in.
