Updated | By Shadley Nash / Algoa FM News
Four people have died and 23 others sustained serious injuries when two vehicles collided on the R61 between Aberdeen and Beaufort West.

Eastern Cape Transport Department spokesperson Unathi Binqose, said the crash occurred early on Monday morning.
He said both vehicles were travelling in the same direction when a midi-bus, transporting 27 people, collided with a mini-bus with 10 passengers onboard.
He said the midi-bus veered off the road and overturned, killing four people.
“Twenty-three other passengers sustained injuries serious and slight injuries. All 10 occupants of the quantum escaped unharmed."
Binqose said the injured were taken to Aberdeen Hospital for treatment.
He said overloading may have been a factor as the midi-bus' legal seating capacity is 23, including the driver.
A case of culpable homicide will be opened by Aberdeen SAPS.
