Four women killed in horrific crash on N4 near Malelane
Updated | By Mmangaliso Khumalo
Four women were tragically killed on Sunday in a multiple-vehicle collision on the N4 toll road between Malelane and Hectorspruit in Mpumalanga.

The deadly crash involved two hatchbacks, a light delivery vehicle (LDV), and an articulated truck.
According to Mpumalanga community Safety spokesperson, Moeti Mmusi, the four deceased were all occupants of one hatchback that collided head-on with the bakkie.
"A fifth person in the same hatchback sustained serious injuries and was rushed to Shongwe Hospital.
"In another hatchback involved in the incident, the driver and four passengers suffered minor injuries and were also transported to Shongwe Hospital for treatment."
Community Safety MEC, Jackie Macie, has called for greater caution on the province’s roads.
“Let us all use the road cautiously to avoid these deadly crashes. We must obey the rules. It is very devastating for other people to lose their lives due to the reckless behaviour of other drivers on the road."
Investigations into the exact cause of the crash are ongoing.
